Subject:selection of audio file

In audio studio 10.0, I want to select 40 seconds of an audio file that I have made. How do I make the selection and save it with in a different file under a different name than my original file, which I want to keep?

Select a portion, copy it, and press Ctrl+E to open it in a new window, then save it.
