Subject:Changing snapping in Acid 3.0

Hi,

How do you tell Acid where the first beat of a measure is so you can accurately use the snapping feature? Say I have snapping enabled and I have the grid spacing set to quarter notes. Some times when I click in the track view it doesn't actually snap to the nearest quarter note because the audio has gotten out of sync with the grid indicating where the quarter notes are. There must be a way to tell acid to use the current cursor location or something to use as the snapping off set. I'm probably just overlooking something very simple here, but I would appreciate some help on this.

Thanks.

Hello,

I had the same problem with A 3.0 when it first came out. You have to enable snapping but diable snapping to grid if your going to set the grid by notes. What I do in 3.0 (I've changed the way from 2.0) Is leave the grid at default (Ruler Marks) setting and use zoom to get the grid where I want it because you noticed the grid works different now, You can set the curser time offset too by right clicking on the time counters under the menu commands and select edit time at curser.

Hope this helps.

See ya
