It's a real problem for me: I have to submit Broadcast wav to a production facility on a regular basis and I end up having to manually alter values in the Metadata for sample rate change. So please: could you make SF at least update the CodingHistory field when sample rate or bit-depth changes are made? Thanks. |

I'm thinking this could be done with a script of some sort, though I'm no coding expert so I'm not sure how to write it. Iacobus |

WaveAgent beta will write and rewrite BWF metadata. I think the poster's point is the same as has been made here many times -- that full BWF "Save As" support should be part of Sony Professional software apps. Message last edited on11/10/2010 10:49:03 AM bymusicvid10. |

Yes this does seem to be an oversight.... have you reported this as a bug? |

Is it a bug? It just seems like an incomplete BWF implementation. But since others have mentioned it, I guess the SF gurus already know about it. I use SF because of iZotope's SRC. Brilliant move that. |

SCS is aware of the B'cast Wave File issues. Neither SF or WaveAgent can render a new BWF from scratch, or from a normal everyday garden variety WAVE, if that's your issue. One must have a BWF to start with. I get around this by copy/paste/save the audio data to a known BFW, then tweak the metadata in SF-10 or WaveAgent. Vegas 10 will render a BWF from the timeline's TC as I understand, though I have not explored that function. Nor have I explored with the Coding-History in SF or WaveAgent. |
