I've done a lot of recording with ACID and am happy with the program. Is there any reason to use SoundForge for my audio instead? Many times I record the tracks on my ancient Akai DPS-16 and then dither the tracks to a CD and fly those into ACID for mixing & mastering. Will I get better overall quality from SoundForge? |

If you are happy with the tools in Acid there is no reason to do it in SF. There is nothing inherently different about the quality between the two. |

Thanks. I'll stick with ACID just like I did in the '70's. |

Note also that Sound Forge is not multitrack. If you use multiple tracks in ACID then you won't be able to do the same sort of project in Sound Forge. |

You may find the workflow in SF (and/or in CDA) easier ) - fewer distractions. geoff |
