Excalibur Problems

Spectralis wrote on 1/8/2011, 7:49 AM
I've just upgraded to Excalibur v6. When I tried it in Vegas 10c the Audio tab causes Vegas to crash. I tried to find a support email to contact jetdv.com about this but there isn't any. When I tried to join the forum to leave a message every email I tried was banned - no hotmail or gmail accepted!

Does anyone know how to contact this guy? I think the lack of formal support is really poor customer service.

Edward has always been really helpful. Hopefully he will contact you via this forum. Not sure why his e-mail is not working. I just dropped him a message regarding your situation via the http://www.dvinfo.net forum which lists him with recent activity.

You can try to post your problem in he DVinfo.net forums, he is a regular member and monitors that forum quite a bit. If no one else here can help you, go to their forum register to login and post. Here is a link:

Hi, thank you both so much for your help. This forum is always so helpful. I couldn't find an email to contact Edward so hopefully he will reply here. All the other scripts work fine apart from the Audio tab on my system. I'm using Vegas 10c 32bit on Win 7 64bit.

Well, it's not like he can e-mail you personally anyway, you don't have your e-mail setup on this forum.

You can e-mail him via this forum if you wanted. His e-mail is setup for people to e-mail him.

hotmail/gmail are banned because that's how most spammers get on boards.

What's his username and I'll try to contact him via this forum? The only reason I'm asking here is because I can't find a support email on the Excalibur site. As for using hotmail and gmail to join forums I'm a member of a number of forums including this one where that's not been a problem. I've set up contact via email on here now.

Spectralis, if you just click on my user name here you can contact me directly through this forum. My first question will be what version of Vegas and what version of Excalibur are you using? Vegas 10.0b broke Excalibur and I just released version 6.0.7 to resolve the issues which caused three tabs to not load. So if you've just updated to 10.0b or 10.0c and it was working before, go to www.jetdv.com/excalibur and download the current version from there and everything should then be fine. If that is not the issue, please send me an e-mail with the two versions and exactly what you are seeing.

Thanks for your reply. I've sent you an email. I'm using the latest version of Excalibur (downloaded yesterday), Vegas 10c 32-bit on Windows 7 64-bit.
