Hi, I'm trying to make a music file a specific length for looping. When I use elastique I can never get the resultant file to be a specific length. It is always longer or shorter than the time in the plug in window. I need the file to be 00:01:50:00 (one minute, fifty seconds) at 29.97 non-drop. I have SF 10 set to the correct frame rate but elastique seems to only work as "audio time" I have found a setting of 00:01:50.515 results in a file that is about 00:01:50:00. We'll see... Jesse |

Update: I've tried many times but when I enter 00:01:50.000 in the elastique plugin my rendered file is 00:01:49:26. I could not find any way to make my file 00:01:50:00 @ 29.97 non drop in SF. Jesse |

NTSC framerates are not the best to measure time! Why not is a very long story. e.g. 01:50:000 @Time = 01:50:00 @Audio CD time = 01:50:00 @25fr = 01:50:00 @24fr = 01:49:27 @29.97frNon-drop (approx) = 01:49;29 @29.97frDrop (approx) = 01:50:00 @30fr Best to work in real time = for elastique set your timeline to "Time" which is in format 00:00:00:000 = hrs:mins:sec:thousandthsofasecond, which is what elastique uses. To explain the possible reason this is so, just look at NASA ;-) geoff |
