OK I just opened sound forge for the very first time so this is as green as a question gets- When recording audio I'm unable to monitor with headphones during recording, (not getting any sound), however on playback the headphones come through fine. How do I enable headphone monitoring during recording. Alright, go ahead, beat me up. I probably deserve it.

Lot's of questions left unanswered:

What version of SF are you using? What audio card/interface are you using?

When you fire up the record dialog, you should see a "Monitor" checkbox (I'm using version 10 Pro, so I'm not sure where your checkbox will be). If you have this checked, you should be able to monitor while recording. Note, there will probably be some latency involved.

Thanks Rob.
I'm on v10 also and the monitor box was checked. That was my first check.

You didn't answer my other questions.

How are you getting audio in and out of your system? Do you have the correct devices selected in your I/O settings? It could be that your sound card won't support duplex audio, but I can't be sure.

Rob.
