Long Delay On AS10 Extract Audio From CD -Sound Forge - PC

We just installed an LG BH10LS30 Blu-ray drive. If we pull the drive's serial ATA cable, AS 10.0 works normally; otherwise we get that long hang before the first dialog even appears. The LG drive works fine with other applications (Sonic RecordNow, Windows Media Player); AS10 just seems to time out before finally recognizing it. Very annoying!
