I have a display problem that I have not been able to resolve. This happens only during playback. When I start the playback the VU meters and scrolling marker do not move for about 10-15 seconds. They move for a couple of seconds and then stop. They will move for only a couple of seconds and then stop repeat, ect. All buffers are set for lowest latency. i7 920 processor 8GB DDR3 RAM RAID 0 SATA drives Win 7 Professional 64bit Audio interface TASCAM USB 1664 Any ideas? I forgot to mention that the playback audio is perfect. No problem at all. Message last edited on4/20/2011 11:24:34 AM bytbatt. |

You mention buffers, so I'm assuming that this happens when you're using the ASIO driver model? What happens if you use mapper or classic wave? How small are your buffers, exactly? Message last edited on4/21/2011 7:57:50 AM bySonySQAPete. |

Yes, I'm using the ASIO driver that TASCAM supplies. I'll have to look at the buffer settings. I remember that they were set to minimum. I have tried several settings and all have the same effect on the delay, none. Once the cursor and VU meters start up they are displaying about 10-15 seconds behind (in time) where the file is playing back. If I hit the "Enter" key to pause the playback and then start it again by pressing the "Enter" key the song plays back from a different part of the file, again about 10-15 seconds differance. The sound is playing back correct in time but the display cursor and VU meeters lag. Weird! |
