I am having problems with Acid and some tracks. There are one or two tracks that the Volume envelope has no effect, they won't respond to Volume envelelopes applied, or re applied after rebooting etc. Is there some sort of switch that I have ignored? Also, some recordings that are made and cut up into blocks (using split at cursor) often end up vibrato'd. Again this seems to be independant of choosing (or not) "use project tempo" in the recording window. Is Acid 3 any better for things like this, I will upgrade if this is the case. Thankyou. |

It sounds like you may be using Acid Music. Acid Music only allows you to use either a volume envelope or and effect on a track. If you try to use both, one will cancel out the other. Ted |

Thankyou for your advice, the update didn't make a difference. However turning off the plug in compressor did indeed stop the problem. I use cool edit pro often anyway so applying effects isn't a problem (but incredibly fiddly). Eventually all the research will be done and a supreme program will be created I'm sure! Can't afford acid 3 at present but will look into it. Its a shame Cool Edit Pro isn't loop friendly (its impossible to keep loops in time with CEP, the loop duplicate feature doesn't line them up back to back). In the meantime thanks for a great program. S |
