Subject:Sound degradation problem with Time Stretch in SF5

I need to slow down the tempo of a cue for film sound track but even if I slow it down by 1 BPM I hear the artifacts (echo, flange). The track is stereo piano track and while the main sound doesn't change too much it's the reflections created by pressing the sustain pedal on the piano that degrades too much. Is there a way we can minimize/improve the sound quality with time stretch feature? Thanks! Ari Koinuma ari@hashimusic.com |

There are many time stretch options- you may have to try a few different settings to get the "right" sound. |

Hi Ari, While in the Time Stretch dialog box, try some of the different music modes (1 through 6) to see which produces the best results. Or better yet, grab a copy of Sonic Foundry's ACID and stretch the material with that. It's much more accurate because it slices the data, and these settings can be adjusted very precisely.
