Subject:Problems Recording ADAT signals

When trying to record a stero ADAT signal through a ST 24/96 Card (RME 96/8) my current loops in acid play about 10 times too fast. When recording analog signals through the same card I have no problem. Everything is set to 44.1 and 16bit. I have no problems recording to Cubase or Sound Forge, only in Acid. Thanks in advance for anyone that has advise.

Thanks,
Frank

What is the clock setting for your digital card set to? Is it using it's own internal clock or is it taking it from an external device? It sounds like the clock is locking to a high sampling rate (96KHz?) and therefore Acid is being forced to playback at that rate as well.

Thanks for the reply. The Clock on all devices - SAM - DAT - Acid and audio card are set to 44.1. The card's clock mode is set to auto synch - so it gets its clock from the SAM(SPDIF to ADAT format converter) via the DAT. Some times it works, but most of the time my loops are playing too fast (4 out of 5 times).
