hi acid freaks I heard that acid was able to calculate the bpm of a loops or a wav sound and to show it. I can't find that function anywhere on the software ! i actually recycle in reason my cool loops, long time used with that lovely acid, but now i have to calculate the tempo of each loops in order to make it match one with the other Is acid also a BPM counter ? or Sound forge ? thanks |

When you beatmap a file in Acid 3.0, it will determine the BPM of the song. It will then be displayed under the Stretch tab in the track's properties when you look at them in Acid. Hope this helps. |

Try playing around with the "Open files as if between (seconds)" setting on the Audio tab under "Options>Preferences" on the menu bar. Sound Forge also actually does a nice job of making loops for use with ACID--tempo and all. It's a little more tricky, though, since you'll have to do some editing to get the loop the way you want it to be. For example, you'll probably have to figure out exactly where the first downbeat falls and go from there. HTH, Iacobus |
