Subject:No 24 bit option when recording audio with digi001

I can't record or export using 24-bit(or start a new project using 24bit). My digi001 has support for 24bit, Acid has it. Why isn't the 24bit option visible for me(only 8 and 16bit) PS I can playback 24-bit audiofiles. |

It almost sounds like the drivers were not properly installed for the digi001. Did you try reinstalling them? Try also going to "Options>Preferences" and then the "Audio" tab. Set "Audio device type" to "Windows Classic Driver" and "Default audio playback device" to the digi001. Note you should have multiple choices of types of output here, including both analog and S/PDIF, if the drivers were installed correctly. HTH, Iacobus |

I also use Soundforge 5 with my digi001 and there I can use 24bit at any time. So there shouldn't be any problem with the driver. |

Which version of ACID are you using? With ACID 3.0 only the PRO grade will allow you to have a project in 24 bit. If you are using Music, Style, or Xpress you are limited to a max bitrate of 16. Jenn |
