K I brought the downloaded version of ACID and I can't install a PDF reader. Until I can How can I timestretch an individual track with leaving the others tracks in thier bpm alone? Also what is the best way to edit my own wav loops (made before) to harmonize/fit in with each other looping? The SF that came with package? |

You can't install a PDF reader? Did you go to the Adobe website, you can download their free version, that's all you need. The questions you are asking also require some "trial and error". Beatmatch 1.1 hours... try it and let us know.Although, I'm doing a continuous CD length mix and I'm using Vegas. To work your waves, you are better off using SF. Again, you've bought the package, have fun experimenting. If you get stuck, everyone here is very helpful. Later. |

Timestretch is part of the XFX packaged with Pro 3.0. When all your songs are on separate tracks, you can clic on the FX tab associated with the track you want to alter, and select timestretch. When you add your songs individually, you'll have to set them as one-shots, or else they'll try to match the tempo of the previous song. This is what I have discovered by playing around. If anyone else has a better/easier method, share the knowledge. Hope this helps. |

If the track is a Loop type track (not a One-Shot or Beatmapped track), double-click the track icon in the track list, click on the Stretch tab and enter a value in the "Number of beats" field. Essentially, halving the number of beats increases the speed of the track, while doubling it will decrease the speed of playback. One-Shots have a similar trait. You can increase/decrease the speed of the entire One-Shot at which they playback by either double-clicking the icon in the track list and adjusting "pitch shift" or by double-clicking a drawn event and adjusting the pitch or speed (one affects the other). You can also just select the event and use the plus or minus keys on the numpad on your keyboard as well. HTH, Iacobus |
