It's all a matter of preference really. I usually tweak the master fader as I go along with the project. It's also usually the last fader I touch after I adjust the faders for each track. I can get it to 1.0 to 2.0 dB without clipping after tweaking everything, compression, etc. After that, I usually apply normalization via Sound Forge after exporting the whole project to WAV. Hello, You should leave your Master Fader at 0dB and adjust the track faders to prevent clipping. Thats the mixing part. I load all my tracks at -6.0dB to start with and take it from there, you can get all your tracks to load from explorer at -6.0dB by setting the preview fader to -6.0dB, then when you double click the loop to load it, it loads at the preview fader value. See ya, Rockit |
