When I record against loops the timing on the recorded wave is delayed by a few milliseconds..i've tried it with the box ticked and unticked for "make track follow project tempo" and neither solves the problem..Can anyone help? |

What OS, audio card, and driver version of the audio card are you using? Peter |

OS is win98 ...The sound card is Audiowerk2 and the only info I can find on the driver is the date of 9/28/1999...I will look for more recent updates...are you aware of problems of this sort using audiowerk cards? |

I don't have this problem with the Audiowerk. How far off is the recorded track? In the advance page of the Audio Prefs there is a setting for setting the recording latency. You may want to try that. It seems to be off by approx. 2x 32ndtriplet grid spacing.... very consistent...it is also delayed when I use vegas ????...It works fine with the bundled software that came with the Audiowerk2 card (Logic Composer )I tried adjusting the recording latency as you described...it had no effect even at the two outermost extremes. |

If you highly suspect the sound card is the problem try switching with someone else's sound card just to check (or if you have an old one lying around). If you look inside your computer, your sound card is as easy as installing ram [push into slot] but with a screw. Also check if it is sharing IRQ's with another device Start>Settings>Control Panel>System>Device Manager and then Double click 'Computer'. If these are not your problems then I wouldn't know and GL. |

I changed the buffer size in the Audiowerks properties box from 4096 to 2048 which in turn changed the latency to 46ms...Acid now seems to sync. during recording???? does anyone know what effect this might have on other functions ..perhaps in e-magic or even elsewhere in Acid???????? |

" Is it just me or do your buffer sizes align with Vcache value settings? Try dividing down but don't go past 512 (if it does have anything to do with Vcache). Mind you, I don't know anything about Audiowerks but the values you mentioned are common chunk settings elsewhere on windows |
