Subject:I cant record!

Im using Acid 3.0, and when I try to record my project there is no signal on the monitor. When it finishes recording and adds the track to the project, the track has nothing on it. Just 2 flat lines, no waveforms. The .wav created by the recording is also silent.
Help me out!

Hello, Give more details like Type of Sound Card. Also you could check the multimedia area in Windows to see if some things are muted, And we also need to know what your settings are in Acid, in the options area, and the record dialog.

I have a Soundblaster Live 5.1. I checked windows settings and nothing is muted. My sample rate is set at 44,100 and 16 bit.
The computer that is running the program does not have internet access. Could this problem be because I haven't registered with Sonic Foundry yet? I have entered the serial #, so I'm not using the demo. Just not the registration.
Up until 4 days ago I was using Acid 2.0, and wasn't having this problem. Not sure if that is relevant.
Let me know if more info is needed. I'm fairly new to this program. I really appreciate the help Rockit.
