yup, seeing that too here. Maybe even more than 10% in my case.

How's the Previewing?

looks the same to me, no faster or slower than before. dxdy?

Edit: will test this further, have to go back to 425 and do some comparisons.

Previewing looks about the same, but seeing a 10% difference might be hard. 10% becomes relevant when I have a sixty minute render.

Yet more data (yes i actually like doing this sort of thing).

JC. Rendertest 2010 (b425):
BEST FULL : 12fps
PREVIEW FULL : 25-28fps
PREVIEW AUTO : 29.970fps

JC. Rendertest 2010 (b511):
BEST FULL : 15fps
PREVIEW FULL : 26-29fps
PREVIEW AUTO : 29.970fps

------------------------------------------------------

Sony Press Release Car Advert (b425):
this test is set out in different regions as per the project supplied.
BEST FULL for all tests:

region 1 : 29
region 2 : 29
region 3 : 29
region 4 : 29 - down to 20 fps
region 5 : 29
region 6 : 29
region 7 : 29

Sony Press Release Car Advert (b511):
this test is set out in different regions as per the project supplied.
BEST FULL for all tests:

region 1 : 29
region 2 : 29
region 3 : 29
region 4 : 29 - down to 25 fps
region 5 : 29
region 6 : 29
region 7 : 29

------------------------------------------------------------

So as you can see, from my system at least, 511 is previewing a little faster, but its not a massive difference. Still, im happy with that.

I tried the test with GPU on and off. These are my results
gpu nvidia 460 2gb. Driver 290.36 beta.
gpu on, 58sec
gpu off, 319 sec ( 5mins 19sec)
Rendertest 5.5 times faster with gpu on.
Using v511 64bit
Mainconcept MPEG2 HDV 1080 60i m2t.
Best - setting

yes and on average, b425 with GPU ON was about roughly 3.5 times faster.
So, it backs up other observations that b511 is ahead.
