Let's say I have multiple drum loops playing, can I erase say the snares from one loop and the bass drums from the other loop to spice it up a little. This would take a little wave editing if possible. Thanks in advance for any advice. Peace SirSlim :0) |

A little wave editing and a sh_t load of patients!! :) Seriuosly though, there are alot of good percussion loops out there. Use one you like and modify it in the "chopper" and maybe add some snare one-shots. Alot of times there are multiple loops that sound alike so you can mix and match, again, using the chopper. Hope this helps. Later. |

There's definitely some editing involved, but also be aware you cannot separate, say, the snare and kick drum if they are being struck at the same time in the very same loop. (At least, not totally.) Like MyST said, you'll probably want to consider creating your own rhythm using snare One-Shots but don't limit yourself to just that type of percussion; there are some other types of One-Shots available too (like kick One-Shots) in the various other loop libraries. I've always done this myself. You can hear my projects here. NOTE: Opens a new browser window. Remember to keep the Grid Spacing option in mind (so that the One-Shot will snap to a particular note value like quarter notes) and hold down CTRL while painting or drawing. HTH, Iacobus |

The Chopper is exclusive to ACID Pro 3.0 only. You can actually pick the full version up at Best Buy this week. It's on sale for $149. HTH, Iacobus |
