Subject:Kernel32.dll Error (please help)!!!

I've had Acid Pro 3. 0 for about 4 months now and haven't had any problems with it until about a month ago. A certain file I had would cause a kernel32.dll error when I would solo a certain track that had been chopped (chopper tool). I then went back and played some other files with tracks that had been chopped to see if it caused the same error. Most of the tracks were fine but one or two would cause the same error. I then went about eliminating certain variables like fx plugins used on the track or stereo/mono wave files, etc. I found that the tracks that caused the error had the Track EQ plugin on it. I then uninstalled and reinstalled Acid and the plugins hoping it would fix it. It didn't. The strange thing is that it doesn't always happen. I had a file the other day that kept doing it and after I added other tracks in it and saved it, it was fine. I tried updating to Acid 3.0c but it didn't fix it. Updated all drivers too. Anyway, here's a recap of my problem:

Kernel32.dll error (along with acidk.dll, user32.dll and others depending on the file).

Only does it on files with tracks that have been chopped (chopper tool).

Tracks have Track EQ plugin activated (if Track EQ is deactivated, it will play fine).

Chopped tracks are Solo (other tracks muted).

I hope this is enough info. It's really frustrating and I know other people here have had the same problem with the kernel32.dll file. It seems that Sonic Foundry needs to clear up this problem. I use to use Acid Music 1.0 on my older PC and I would get kernel32.dll errors all of the time. It's ridiculous. I would hate to have to say that Acid is too good to be true but from what I've experienced, it is.

I have had a similar experience as of recent...Make sure that whatever error message you get you make a copy and send it to tech support. How long has it been since you have reformatted your drive? Defragmented recently? If you use your computer as much as I do as well as surf the net,yadda...yadda...It might be time to reinstall over this one. It helped me alot. Try this trick [after reinstalling the OS I would recommend] that I got from tech support. Open the bad song in acid...then Hit ctrl+a [select all]...then ctrl+c [copy]...minimize your acid template with the bad song.Go to the acid icon on your desktop and click on it, you will open another acid program next to the one already open[it will be empty. Then click in the work area to make sure that this screen is in focus, put the cursor so that it is at the beginning of the template[ctrl+home or home by itself or the letter "W"]. Hit ctrl+V [paste]. You'll get an exact copy of your tune in this area, play it through out...I didn't have a problem at this point. Then make a new folder for this song and save it as a different name [call me parinoid!]; an acd-project file with embedded audio. I had way tooooooo many problems with the zip function!!! Hopefully this helps, I would say to get away from soundblaster stuff if I were you. Later.
