Just ordered a new PC with Win XP Professional. Does anyone know if Acid Pro 3c runs OK on XP ? I just noticed the box only says Win98/W2K. Cheers, Matt |

Where did you order your pc from. Was it made to work on audio/video only. Did it come with a video card hardwired to the mother board? Pentium 4? If so then I think your in for a really good time in finding out which is to blame for some problems...OS or computer. I know that there was an update for xp in either acid or vegas[or both?], there hasn't been enough time to gather information on this for alot of different programs. Though from what I've read so far everything looks on the up in up for the OS. The reason that I said this before is because I got a HP Pavilion 6oomhzs package a long time ago and it took me a while to optimize my settings, which weren't totally what I could have done if I had just built the thing from scratch piece by piece. Did someone custom build it for you? Go to www.prorec.com , they have a windows 2000 optimization page that should help you get your pc in order.Later. |

I have been using ACID 3.0c on XP. It works like a charm. Follow the W2K optimization tips @ www.prorec.com to fully maximize XP's digital audio potential. I have migrated from WinME to XP and have seen a definite increase in both performance and stability. In fact, all of the major SF apps that I have ( ACID 3.0c, Vegas Video 2.0h & SF 5.0d)are working very well in XP. If you are on one of the DOS based OS's (Win95,98,98se,or ME) migrating to XP should be a no brainer if your apps and drivers are W2K/XP compatible. Billy Buck Billy Buck |
