I have a new computer and have done lots of upgrades to it, new Canon camcorder, new Zoom h4n mic, finally installed after owning for a year + VMS 10 Platinum Production Suite and got the newest updates for all the programs. Gotta admit that reading the posts and topics here, I feel like a newbie like me is never going to be able to understand anything being talked about! Does that ever go away, or is basic and simple video editing with VMS 10 beyond the beginner/novice and I should just save myself the frustration and find another hobby??? Examples being needed fixes for using Win 7 64 bit just to use VMS?
yikes!!!! :-)))

Why not start with some basic training?

I've created a free 8 part Basic Training tutorial series that should help get you started. You'll find it along the left side of this page.

VERY cool... thanks for the link and tutorials Steve. I assume that most of the tutorials will be close to VMS 10 also?

There are some new options for starting a project and a new Make Movie/Render As screen in version 11 -- but otherwise, the functions are very similar.

You can learn a lot here too

I was using VMS 4.0 and upgraded to 11. They helped a lot.
