Hello, Does any know of a way to import cakewalk 9.03 bun files into acid? or convert the bun files to acd-zip files? I'm moving from cakwalk to acid. Acid 3 seems way more stable the cakewalk. Plus its faster. Any thought or pointers would be very cool. Please email me too, todd@rodd.net Thanks! Todd. |

I'm not familiar with "bun files" (do you need butter with those?). Kidding!! If you can convert your buns to waves, then you can import those in Acid. Hope this helps. Later. |

To clarify, a bun file in cakewalk consists of all the wav data and layout of the song. I can import/export that actuall samples/wavs in cakewalk, but I loose the layout of the wavs. I would have to sequece the song. maybe there is a wrk to acd converter? I've looked and looked.... lost. |

I don't think you can make the conversion...acid is a loop program...it uses loops only...in cakewalk PA9 you're dealing with audio clips not loops...the two programs are completely different...you would have an easier time exporting your wavs from cakewalk and importing them to Vegas Audio NOT Acid...but unfortunately you would have to rearrange the whole song...you see, Cakewalk PA9 is a multi track recording progam more like Vegas Audio than Acid...the new Cakewalk Sonar is more like Vegas Audio plus some Acid-like looping capabilities...I won't get into this big debate about Acid vs Sonar...they are different and each have their pros and cons... |
