Hi, Is there any way of importing or copy / paste previous .acd tracks created in Acid into a new project? I tried Copy and paste but it does not work... Very desappointing because I spent much time in creating songs sliced in different sections... Now I would like to gather them all before the final mix. Anybody an idea? I use Acid Music 2.0 and SoundForge 4.0 |

I can't strictly remember about version 2, but I know that version 3 will let you open another ACID window and do exactly what you want. I've done this a couple times already. Iacobus |

Hello, No you can only use the same loops, you can't copy the painted tracks from one project to another, Thats one of the new features, like mD said, you can open two sessions of Acid 3.0 at a time. Time to upgrade:) See ya, Rockit |

Thanks for your replies. I'd like to upgrade, but most topics here related to Acid 3.0 say that it's not as good as Acid 2.0! (bugs, cracks, poor quality of sound, difficult to use Acid 2.0 tracks in release 3.0 etc etc...) What do you think about it? |

The only thing I can suggest without being biased is to try it out and let yourself be the judge: Get the demo here. (Click the "demo version" link on the upper right. It's a hefty 22.2 MB.) Me? I have no problems with it. I thought the quality of the sound rocks version 2's boat. And using version 2 projects is easily remedied by using the copy and paste method we discussed previously. (Though you'll have to note the effects used as those don't get copied over (but the actual envelopes do).) Some users have problems and some don't. Your mileage may vary. Couldn't hurt to try it nonetheless. Iacobus |

Hello, I agree with Iacobus, I think the upgrade is good I don't have any problems with it either But you do need a pretty strong system W/ fast proc. and alot of ram and good sound cards help as well. Overall it's a good upgrade. See ya, Rockit |
