Subject:3.0 Pro Lockups

Does anyone know of a way to resolve 3.0 Pro lockups when rendering. I am using SB128 PCI, AMD Athalon 850 with 1GB of RAM, Win2K....It'll run for an indeterminate amount of time, then simply freeze. I have reinstalled ACID to same...reinstalled DirectX8.0 (even tried 8.1) no dice. Still hangs. No error message reported.

Removed unused modem...same.
Do I need to reinstall Win2k Service Pack 2?
What order does the SW need to be installed, reinstalled in?

Very frustrated. Any insight would be very helpful.

Have you tried uninstalling ACID Pro, restarting your system, deleting any folder residue once restarted and then reinstall ACID? It's a little lengthy to do, but it can help in the long run.

As soon as ACID is installed, reinstall DirectX.
