Subject:Spacebar while using ACID demo?

I just downloaded the ACID demo last night. I plan to purchase the full version. I have Windows XP and wanted to see if there were going to be any problems. The first thing I noticed was when I hit the spacebar to play or stop the audio, ACID would hesitate--it wouldn't be instant. Any help with this? With ACID on my old PC I never had this problem. Is it because I have the demo? Windows XP? ACID Pro 3.0 Demo Version 3.0c Build 284 Thanks, Matt |

Judging from your specs, you're all clear hardware-wise. Didn't mention your soundcard? Update the drivers for it recently? Sometimes I get a slight delay of sorts before I actually hear the project while the project plays while using the spacebar. It usually clears itself up. (Nothing's perfect.) Note I'm using Win 98 SE with ACID Pro 3. Iacobus |

Right now I'm using the soundcard that came with the computer until I can afford a new Lynx One soundcard. Could the soundcard be the problem? I didn't think of that. Thanks, Matt |

I know that my Audiophile 2496 doesn't give me as many problems (if at all) as my SB Live! did. There are people who've never had a problem with their Soundblaster and compatible cards, but I think I'm just picky. :) Iacobus |
