Hitfilm 2 & Vegas 12 integration looks Awesome

You may want to watch the following link. If this works, this might be a game changer.

For those of you who don't know, Hitfilm is a lower cost alternative to programs like after effects. Works great, and fairly easy learning curve. Hitfilm 2 is coming out in November, and like I said if this works the way it does in the video, I am sold on both Vegas 12 and Hitfilm Ultimate 2.

Don't know the price-point of Hitfilm 2, but let's just hope that it is not off the charts...my guess is 199 for the upgrade, or 299 for a first time buyer.

curious- the narrator in the video mentions it's avail in November as a standalone from Hitfilm...or in the "Sony Vegas Pro Suite". As far as I know there is no formal Vegas Pro Suite of applications. Movie Studio- yes, but not Pro.

Is Sony planning a VS1 (vegas suite 1) in November? Seems like the timing matches up with the end of the upgrade promotion on 10/30/12.

With the lackluster (imo) new features of v11, the discountinuing of Cinescore, Acid Pro on life support, and Sound Forge gathering dust- I moved to CS6. But a Vegas Suite with Pro Video 12, Sound Forge Pro 11, and Acid Pro 8 all integrated ala adobe bridge- now that would be something nice.

I'm curious about your comments regarding sound forge. We've got CS6 on our MACS. I'm a tad confussed about your reference to 11 when discussing vegas but 12 in the title. There is nothing wrong with using after effects and Vegas Pro 12. We do that quite a lot.

Movie studio Platinum has HitFilm standard included in the package. I can't see any reason for not being able to use it under Vegas Pro 12. It is certainly no more expensive than any Adobe product that does the saem timg. If this is what you are looking for, you can buy it now sans vegas Pro... If you don't mind using a stripped down version of the software.

Find it fron the "softwre" choice in the munu above.
A lot of functions of Vegas are never used by many of its owners.

Both Sound Forge Pro 10 and Acid Pro 7 (most recent versions) are several years old now. They have been patched a few times, but they are long overdue for a new version. SCC seems to keep pretty current on Vegas releases, but not Forge Pro and Acid Pro (the entry studio stuff is kept fairly current).

To bring them current like Vegas is now- they would need to release a Sound Forge 11 and Acid Pro 8. But what if you make them all integrated with the new Vegas- and you could have a Pro Suite v1.0? That was my thought when I heard the guy in the video mention that Hitfilm 2 Ultimate is also available in the "vegas pro suite" in November. As of now there is no Pro Suite- so I'm curious... is there something coming in November?

what is the MAGIC BULLET QUICK LOOKS available on the Sony download site?
http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/download/updates/vegasfamily

is it free? Trial? I have both Movie and Pro and it works in both it seems.

There is also a HITFILM thing listed there....

I still have an old Vegas MB MOVIES LOOKS HD thingy that used to be free a while back. It is neat but seems like maybe the QUICK LOOKS replaced it?

The HITFILM software that is on the Vegas site is not, and does no function like the new HITFILM Ultimate 2 that is in the Video. This is a complete overhaul of the older HITFILM software, and is being released in November. HITFILM currently does not function the way the new HITFILM will within Vegas.

As I said earlier, if this works like the video I posted earlier, this may be even better than the interplay between PP and AE, and just as seemless at a much lower cost.

For those who do not know HITFILM 2 Ultimate is a fully functioning 3D compositor and special effects program that can handle everything that AE can, but probably is easier to use, at much less of a price.

Ryadia, the newer version of Hitfilm 2 is so much bigger and better than the stripped down version currently on the Vegas site.

Like I said watch the video I posted early, it really looks great
