greetings, I have a session in about 2 weeks and I need percussion loops. What I want is a collection of individual instrument loops, such as shakers, maracas, triangle, cabasa, etc. I have v-Drums, so I can play all the basic drum and hand drum parts, but I need to be able to add the above mention tools very quickly, and the V-drums are not very efficient for those parts. If anyone can recommend any libraries that would help, I would greatly appreciate the info! Also, can anyone recommend a good, reliable PC sound card for use with Acid; I need to be able to record at least two tracks of high quality digital audio. thanks, gyclone |

I can't exactly help you on the percussion loops part, but I would suggest either the M-Audio Audiophile 2496, the Echo Mia, or the Terratec EWX 24/96. They're all very good and inexpensive soundcards. Just all depends on what you're looking for in a card. Iacobus |

Hello, I can help you on the drums part, "RADS" (Rythum Architectual Design. Its a loop system for creating drum loops on one CD It's made by Sonic Foundry, And for Latin I recomend either "Latin Loops" Or "Latin Percusion Loops". These are all great libraries. You can also get "Latin Acid 2.0" at Mars Music for $7.99 right now on sale, and just use it for the loop disk it has. It's also a great library. One other really good drum library, (It's my fave) Is "Drum Sugar" "Siggi Baldersen on the drums" and very off beat and funky, One of the best drummers I've ever heard. Good Luck, Rockit |
