Looking for simple Karoake Software -ACID Product Family

Subject:Looking for simple Karoake Software Posted by: AAAAAAA Date:12/5/2001 10:20:11 PM What software will allow me to take tracks off of a CD-G, etc Karaoke CD? I need something simple and with minimal hardware changes. Any ideas?

There is a free version of SIREN Express available. I believe that will play/rip CD tracks. As far as removing vocals from a song? If that's what you're after, forget it. It's really not very possible. I did write up some brief instructions for attempting it in Sound Forge and posted them here: http://www.sonicfoundry.com/forums/ShowMessage.asp?ForumID=1&MessageID=81088 but the results are often less than thrilling.
