Subject:Mic plugged into USB port is NOT working!

I have a mic plugged into my USB port and for some reason... when I try and record vocals over my Acid Pro 2.0 it will not allow recording.

It is like nothing is going through it. I have also tried recording through the sound card with just a normal mic plugged into that...

none of it is working.. is it possible I may have hit something that would not allow that?

Who makes the microphone?
What sound card do you have?

Does your USB mic show up in the list of available input devices in the Recording dialog? What happens when you select it?

If you enable monitoring in the Record dialog, and you speak/sing into the mic, do the meters move?

Does this mic have a control panel or a mixer that can be controlled externally from ACID? You may want to check the input gain/vol settings if so.
