Subject:Best way to use Acid with MIDI sequencer

Hey people,

I want to bring my MIDI sequences done in Sonar into Acid Pro 3.0, so that I can add audio effects and acid loops to them. Some of the MIDI tracks are routed to an external sound module and other tracks are routed to softsynths. What's the easiest way to accomplish this?

I know that I can convert the MIDI to audio in Sonar, export the audio to a wave file and then load the wave file in to Acid. When I do this though, the tracks from Sonar eventually drift out of sync in Acid even though I have the correct tempo. Should I use the Sonic Foundry MIDI router to sync both programs? Should I use an external four track recorder (which I have) and combine the two programs some how using MTC? (sheesh this stuff gets complicated!).

Thanks for any help.

Steve

ACID Pro 3 has support to play MIDI files directly. Have you tried that?
