What a great piece of software.

It is easy to use and the output into VegasP12 is astonishing.

Nice one NB!! - Nice one . . . .

grazie, what's the 'umph' factor in your eyes?

have read about it but am still on the fence....

umph factor? More like Factors!

Well:-

1/- Each and every-letter or word or Paragraph, yes para, can be manipulated against time

2/- I can independently move Letters or blocks or paras about

3/- It does have a mass of styles and animation options - I haven't got near those.

It's what SONY's Protype Titler SHOULD have been but wasn't.

I'm gonna try some credit rolls, and see if that is a simple as the SONY Legacy text. If not then then Legacy.

Truly? It's this ease of Kerning, Para manips, text-block manips, Letter by letter GRAB and move that's got me happy.

thanks for that - i'll NOW download the trial ;-)

mind you, i'm still playing and enjoying ae, however i doubt i'll ever get a client to reimburse me for my time creating anything in it.

Grazie Pro type Titler does that already independent block, line character etc

Forget all the nodes etc switch everything on and you can manipulate block line or character independently. = visualy
The thing is that the default key is ease in out but it should be linear default.

IMO, PTT lacks simplicity and straightforward logic and results.

Well, I've had major stability issues with NBTP2, but I'll give it another whirl. There's an update available, so I'll give it yet another go (since I have a quick break between projects I have a little tweaking and play time to see how it goes).

And I have to agree that NBTP2 is much more intuitive (not that it couldn't use some work, but still better) than PTT. Mind you, I found PTT so bizarre compared to what I've used (primarily AE) that I just decided not to invest the time into learning it. The curve for NBTP2 is much shallower and shorter.

I'll be thrilled if NBTP2 is just stable (re: doesn't crash when dropped on the timeline, or editing...or...anything....ever...)

edit: so far so good...15 minutes of noodling (not in project - just the instance of NBTP2 on the timeline) and no crashes. It may not sound like much, but in my experience, that's a vast improvement. I'm also actually seeing improved rendering and the text blur and wide angle are behaving nicely. MOST importantly, the fonts that have NEVER worked before (including ones for client typefaces) now DO work. So...I'm feeling strangely...what's the word...hopeful?

Did you ever get round to doing this? If so, how did you manage to get the credits to actually roll? I'm trialling this at the moment and whilst I've got the text in etc as detailed in the Help file I haven't actually worked out how to get it to scroll as yet. :-(

Not yet.

OK, tks.

Remember there are a couple ways to get scrolling:

1. Use the "Roll & Crawl" animations
2. Keyframes

Either method should work fine. You might try both and see which you like best!
