You must upgrade Acid to use plug-ins. Acid Music comes with proprietary plug-ins, and Acid Pro can use any DirectX plug-in.

I would be hard-pressed to say that you would be wasting your money on ACID Pro 3 just for that one feature, since you can use DirectX plug-in effect envelopes on your tracks (on top of chaining more than one effect as well). Way more powerful than just applying the effect to the track.

Since your DJ upgrade is worthless, try looking in eBay and the discount websites for the best price on 3.0 Pro--$169.34 at CDW.
