Subject:Problem with markers not passing over to Sound Forge

I've noticed this happening, but I don't know why. I record a wav into acid and then I right click on the wav and choose "Edit in audio editor." When I do this Sound Forge pops up and sometimes the wav within Sound Forge has markers for ever whole note and sometimes it doesn't. I would really like those markers to appear ever time I go into Sound Forge from Acid Music because it makes the wav easier to turn into a loop. Does anyone know any specifics on this. I've already read the Help files and searched the forum for and answer and I'm still stumped. Thanks. |

Markers in Sound Forge are region markers, and the markers in Acid are project markers. For this reason, the markers aren't transferrable between the two programs. Ted |

Why not try reversing the process? (Record in Sound Forge, polish it up and then bring it into ACID.) Iacobus |

That makes a lot of sense. Sound Forge really is for recording and editing. Acid isn't really intended for these purposes. I can think of two advantages of recording in Acid though: 1 - if you don't need to edit, it's a one step process 2 - you can hear the rest of your tracks for sync, pitch, tempo, & other artistic purposes while recording. |
