I am having a problem with 24 Bit 96 KHz wavs recorded with SF 5.0 on my Audiophile 2496 soundcard. It plays the first couple of seconds back OK and then stutters. If I take the cursor to another part of the wav and start playback it does the same thing. The file seems to have been recorded OK - It works fine with 24 Bit 48 KHz wavs that I have recorded. My system consists of... PIII 700 Mhz 1 Gig RAM ASUS P2B-F Motherboard Win NT 4 SP6 140 Gig Ultra wide SCSI HDD Matrox G400 Max Dual Head VGA Audiophile 2496 soundcard SB Live soundcard Any help appreciated ....TIA |

Have you tried changing your buffer settings, because it sounds like it could use some tweaking See ya, Rockit |

i use a simple 16bit 44khz files but i think we have the same problem. i've noticed that my computer has been coming rilly slower latley. i get the same problem. i suggest that you run a prog called rambooster (even though u have a lot), get a new chip, or make the pcs job easier. make sure all other progs arent running. try in safe mode and see if it runs fine, if it does u got software problems.
