we are trying to take a working Acid song file from a Windows Me computer to transfer to a Windows 98 second ed. computer. We keep getting an error message that we are missing the RIFF header or there is corrupt file. The file works fine on the Me machine and Acid program works fine on receiving 98 machine, just does not transfer. We tried via CDrom and Zipdisc. And we are both using version 3.0 Any ideas as we are on a tight production schedule? THANKS! |

Take a (potentially queasy) look at this post. Please say you have a backup of the project somewhere. Iacobus |

This is a similar problem to one someone else was having. Here is my post to them: http://www.sonicfoundry.com/forums/ShowMessage.asp?ForumID=3&MessageID=84125 |

"Save As" the project as an "ACID Project with Embedded Media" (acd-zip). This will wrap the project and the media files in to one simple file for transfering. Copy this file to your ZIP media or a CDR and then move it to the other machine, again, copying the acd-zip file to the new machines harddrive. Peter |
