Subject:Should I use Vegas or Acid to record?

I am new user fucking around on both Acid and Vegas and want to know which one will be more useful for me whose goal is to record best quality cd using condenser mics and line ins, recordin vocals, acoustic upright bas, guitars and drums and want lots of editing tools as well? Also, could I record in Vegas and then bring track into acid to edit? How? appreciate any and all help miss willie |

Hey, watch the @*&^!@# language! :) It all really depends on how you work. Basically, you can render a mixdown/take to WAV in one program and bring it into another, since they both support WAV files. Iacobus |

Vegas is a multitrack recording, editing, mixing, and post-production tool. It should handle everything you want to accomplish. Acid is primarily for creating loop-based music. It doesn't sound to me like you'd have any reason to use it. Stick with Vegas. |
