Midi and VST are different critters... as far as I know, midi is an agreed upon computer language which allows multiple devices to communicate ... vst is a proprietary Cubase system which has more to do with audio processing and by passing older windows protocols on playing audio... making it much quicker. If the question is: Can I use VST plug-ins in Acid, the answer is yes. You need a "wrapper", a small program that "tricks" DirectX programs into seeing VST plug ins.... go to this page and check them out. http://www.thedirectxfiles.com/species.htm Several are free, but a couple cost.... I use the one from FXpansion and it works very well. |
