Subject:Acid3.0Pro and MIDI

When I record music from my MIDI keyboard and play it back through my MIDI the instrument sounds are identical to what I originally played. But when I play the music back through the computer all I get is piano sound. I want to be able to mix strings and etc with Acid loops to create new sounds to upload to AcidPlanet. Has anyone worked thorugh this problem and if so how did you do it?

Did you record them with ACID?

Sounds like the MIDI files don't have any Program
changes. If ACID does not find a program/patch change, it will automatically assign the program/patch for any/all channels to 0, which is the General MIDI patch for Piano.

You have to open the track properties for the MIDI track in ACID and set the program/patch that you want transmitted.
