Subject:markers for audio editors

I've noticed in Acid 3.0 that when I record something into Acid, then load it into an external editor, the markers that made it so easy in 2.0 to chop up loop afterword are no longer present. Is there a way to get Acid to put the beat markers (I hope you know what Im talking about) into the audio track being recorded so that it is easy to chop up in an external editor?

I know that when I render markers/regions with my projects in ACID Pro 3 using the "Save project markers with media file" option, I have no problems seeing them in Sound Forge 5.

Try recording your track first, then render into something like WAV with the option enabled, and open it in Sound Forge.

It used to work out so that I could record in 2.0, then edit the recorded track in another editor, and the markers would automatically show up. Rendering first each time is kind of a pain.

Still looking for help. I want to know if there is anyway to have acid add markers to the wav files when recording. So that all you have to do is record in acid then load into an external editor, and the markers appear so that it can be chopped up to work as a loop.

I'm just curious why you record in ACID if you're going to edit in an
external editor. If your intention is to use an external editor, why not
just record in that editor instead? You can do all your marking and
chopping there, save the loops, and then just load the finished loops
into ACID. If you have SoundForge installed, it has all these features
built in for this very purpose.

Chienworks makes a very good point. I don't know why I didn't make this suggestion, since that's how I do it myself.
