Some suggestions for simple (not too busy) loops,
wich I think is easier to suit your own compositions.
All of these were made by the Swedish Roxette team and are in my ears well played and produced.
They may be hard to get hold of being a few years old,
I got mine from East-West.

"Popped vol 1" (Blur, Costello, Cream, Faces, Gabriel, New Order, Petty, Who, XTC, tempi about 90-140)
About 20-30 full loops pr theme in wave format.

"Brushed" (cooked vinyl, fonky, hotrods, pop, rock, shuffle, toms, tripping, streetsweep, tempi about70-140)
About 10-20 full loops pr theme in wave format.

"Drum Tools" (4-4, 6-8, blues & shuffle, tempi about 70-125)
About 30-40 full loops, fills, hihat/ride loops, percussion loops, flams pr theme.
This one is available in Acid-format, but there are numerous errors regarding termpo information in the loops. If Sonic is interested I have fixed the errors and organized /named the loops in a more informative way.The loops themselves are good and as a bonus you get:
"Laidback" (6-8, ballads, Lanois, New York, Russ, Sylvian, tom groove, tempi about 50-120)
About 20-30 full loops pr theme in Acid format.

In addition check out this package, it appears to be big, flexible (expensive...) and got a very favourable review in keyboard.

Hope this helps
Erik

Hi Eric,
I am also a Drum Tools loop cd user. I would be interested to know about the work you have done in
improving the Drum Tools CDROM. Is this something that
you could make available in say, .txt format for those of us who, maybe would like to implement these improvements? Or is there a better way?

Thank you for your efforts,

Billy Buck

Hello,

I agree the old Acid Rock CD is one of the best all around rock CD's, But for drums check out Drum Sugar Siggi Baldersen, And Metarock Visions is good too.
If you can find an old version of Acid Rock 2.0 that's going to be your best bet, because you can most likely get it for about $20.00 or less, And you'll get the 2.0 version to install at work or a second computer.
Try "http://www.marsmusic.com", I bought two Acid Rocks on clearence sale there for $.98, Honest no kidding.

See ya, Rockit

I already had the original audio version wich came with a very informative inlay. Description of the loops; dry/ambience, mono/stereo versions etc.
The names of the loops in Acid thankfully includes the original audio track numbers wich helped when deciding what went where, although with all the errors I ended redoing all lot of the loops from the audio CD.

I could scan the inlay and send it to you as jpg-files if you give me your email address.
