Subject:What other software would you recommend? I'm currently using ACID PRO 3.0

Anyone have any recommendations on additional software I should purchase from Sonic Foundry. I have been using ACID PRO 3.0 for a month now and love it so far (not an expert yet though). I enjoy creating music with this program. I would however like to take it a step further and start recording my guitar, keyboard, drum machine, and vocals. Can I do this all in ACID PRO 3.0 or should I also purchase SOUND FORGE 5.0? |

Definitely think about it, as Sound Forge has tools that'll let you tweak a recorded/existing file as well as ACIDize it for use with ACID. Perfect for customized loops. Try out the Sound Forge 5 demo yet? You'll get a good idea on what the full version is like. Alternatively, ACID Pro 3 also comes with Sound Forge XP Studio 5. It's not quite as powerful as its full-fledged cousin (examples: No 24-bit; no support for DirectX plug-ins), but it'll definitely get your feet wet on what Sound Forge 5 is all about. You may even be satisfied with its features. HTH, Iacobus |

If you already have the CD of ACID Pro, or have downloaded XP5.0, you can save yourself some download time, and run the demo of Sound Forge 5.0 just by choosing it from XP5.0's help menu. HTH, Joel |
