Subject:changing MIDI voices doesn't work

OK, here's my problem:
I recorded a midi track from my Yamaha keyboard.
I cannot hear the rendered track unless it's set to voice "none" / bank0. I can change the voice only during playback in ACID to anything I want but it won't render. WHat's more is that after I render the track it will no longer play in ACID and I have to manually reset the voices.
I'm using WindowsXP, ACID Pro 3.0e, GS sound set(16bit), Master device is Microsoft Sound Mapper. I thank you for your help.

What format are you rendering to? For the recorded MIDI track - what channel or is this multiple? If you add a general MIDI file to the tracks (not something you recorded) do you have the same result?

Double check that the track is not muted and that you are not sending the messages to an external source (back to the Yamaha, for example). Externally routed MIDI tracks are skipped over in the render process.
