or actually... Ableton have released LIVE.. Saw this at the NAMM Show over the weekend. This thing is amazing...and the key point for me is it works on the Mac.

In some respects it's actually much better than Acid is.

For all you Mac users that have been waiting for Acid...here you go...

Looks like it's organized around some kind of goofy "live" performance deal with live internet interactivity with other players. Snore. 5% of the market will be so excited. Nowhere does it mention Acid compatibility, but it may work anyway. I like the interface graphics, and the ReWire and other interoperability (hello SF!) but who needs all that silly live junk? Doesn't help you compose or produce one bit.
