Hello,

Are you sure that sound card is compatible with Windows ME, I know I had some problems with my Diamond Video card and Win ME, Definitely get the latest drivers from Diamond, They're called Sonic Blue now and that cards drivers will be found in the Diamond Multimedia area under Legacy devices.
