Audio

Major help needed with less than 24 hours to go. Brand new computer with Win 8.1. Can bring in the .mpg2 file, but it won't bring the .ac3 with it (yes, same name and location). I bring the audio in manually, if I click on the video time line the audio disappears from the timeline and won't play in the preview. If I click on the audio in the timeline, the video turns black and it won't play in the preview! Please help. Thanks. Cin

Edit: Both files were created on another computer using VMS 12

Try dragging the audio to the timeline. Double click on the video in the summary view of the project to the left to display the media in the timeline.

Are you sure you added the media from the menu tree, and not by dragging to the menu timeline?

Thanks Peter, and yes Music. Very frustrating as I've done this for years, it just didn't want to work......... I re-rendered everything in VMS, and the second time it worked just like it should, but the original still wouldn't. Just one more thing to a long list of things I don't understand......Thanks again for your help. Much appreciated. Cin
