Subject:very tiny static when track volume and FX up at same time....

i am noticing a very high static which could be mistaken for vinyl noise IF it was on a record. i have to either kill the track volume or kill the FX send to remove it.

the plug-in's i'm using are: TC NATIVE REVERB and OHM BOYZ ohm force delay.

how can this problem be solved?

Hi MattX.

It sounds like the problem might stem from the media you are using. If killing the track volume also removes the hiss it is doubtful that this has anything to do with the effects you are using.

I tested with the TC Reverb and OHM Force and it sounds like both plug-ins add a little extra 'hiss' (or more appropriately they added high frequencies). On a vocal track this is most noticeable for words ending in 'S'.

If your media has a little too much high end or hiss at higher volumes I would recommend adding an EQ to your track effects and notching down the high frequencies just a little. Since your effects are going to add sparkle to the high end it won't sound too flat.

Hope that helps.
Happy mixing.
