I just got the Laswell Collection. Of course my favorite CD is the 24 bit Covert Diaspora. The ambient folder is stunning. However, I get a bunch of popping when I edit the loop events while playing, but not when just playing. I have an SBLive and a dual athlon. Will mixing 16 and 24bit in a project cause any problems? |

I thought the SB Live! had only 16-bit maximum bit depth playback? (Or did you mean the Audigy, which does have 24-bit playback?) In any case, there should be an option under Options>Preferences>General tab on the menu bar. Look for, "Use slower updates to prevent playback clicks during editing" at the bottom. (Note this is in the latest build of ACID.) Iacobus |

My SB is 16 bit. But it plays back the 24 bit loops fine. ACID seems to sense thatand defaults the project to 16bit. The problem is that while I am looping a playback and then adjust any event, then I get popping, which stops once I complete the edit. |

Yep, mD's advice is right on target. From the 3.0e readme: "A preference has been added to allow you to prevent clicks and other unwanted artifacts that may occur during timeline editing. Select the Use slower updates to prevent playback clicks during editing on the General tab of the Preferences dialog if you want to use this option." Cheers, Joel |

Actually, I think updating to 3.0e helped the most I was still at c. Thanks! |
