I'd like to spin old disco "play that funky music" with new beats underneath but tryin the demo of pro of my aciddj seems impossible. rythms are only consistent for a couple of measures before they go out of sync with beatmap. If I only could stretch them individually.
This seems to happen with all songs before the computer age.
Is there any ver. of the soundforge family let you do this?

I'd probably suggest using Sound Forge to ACIDize portions of the those disco songs and insert them that way.

The Beatmapper is pretty good but most of the time you'd want to use the tool on a song that has a steady beat throughout.

Beware: More than likely those songs are copyrighted. If these projects you're making are for your own enjoyment, that's fine. But when you start selling the work as your own you're risking a lawsuit. Take heed and be careful.

well i didnt want to change the songs in anyway, just wanted to play a backbeat behind it at parties. yes if i have to acidize snippets and put together, that probably would be a problem. If beatmap went that one exxtra step and let me adjust more than one measure. it would be perfect.
thnx for the info.

I forgot to mention that the Chopper (only in ACID Pro) can help you out here too.

Instead of using Sound Forge (or Sound Forge XP Studio), you could use the Chopper to extract and insert portions of the track as you see fit. It's really easy to use. Check it out. (ALT+2 is the keyboard shortcut.)

I couldn't think of doing this years ago (at the very least, not without spending a ton of cash).
